Anti-Deception Alliance Opens: A New Milestone for Police-Bank Co-operation
The Anti-Deception Alliance under the Commercial Crime Bureau of the Hong Kong Police Force was officially opened on 24 November 2023, signifying the Police’s and banks’ goal of and commitment to combating deception and safeguarding the assets of Hong Kong people together. The Anti-Deception Alliance is a new joint platform co-established by the Police and the banking sector, with staff deployed by 10 participating banks working in the Alliance to provide the Police with immediate assistance concerning fraud cases. By implementing an instant, direct and effective communication mechanism between the Police and banks, it will further enhance the effectiveness of stop-payment processing, scam intervention, intelligence exchange and enforcement actions.
