They are Tricks, not “Seepage Romance”! Beware of Bogus Neighbours!

Defrauding Tricks
Some scammers contact you via SMS or WhatsApp, claiming that they have obtained your contact information from property management offices. They then try to establish connections with you using excuses such as water seepage in their flats and noise issues.
The scammers usually use photos of good-looking men or women as their profile pictures, and pretend to be friendly neighbours. At first, they bring up issues like ceiling seepage or noise disturbance, requesting discussions with you to resolve the matters. Once they strike up a conversation with you, they show concern for you frequently. You quickly build close connections and even develop fake romantic relationships. Once you begin to trust the scammers, they will make up excuses such as dealing with financial difficulties or emergencies, tricking you into making transfers, remittance or providing your bank account information.
