Beware of Phone Scammers Impersonating csl's Customer Care Staff

Defrauding Tricks
Recently, members of the public received calls from scammers claiming to be csl’s customer care staff. Those scammers falsely claimed that the victims had to pay for the service plans which they had applied for or the new phones which they had ordered, and that amounts would be deducted from their accounts if they did not cancel the applications or orders. After the victims denied the applications or orders, the bogus customer care staff claimed that they could help the victims cancel such applications or orders, and then forwarded the calls to bogus bank staff who either tricked the victims to hand in their online banking usernames, passwords and verification codes in order to steal the deposits in their bank accounts, or lured the victims to transfer money to designated accounts.
