2023-12-01

Defrauding Tricks

Recently, scammers opened a Facebook account and published fraudulent advertising messages, using the name of an international law firm.

The account claimed that the Anti-Deception Coordination Centre (ADCC) and banks had used a certain technology to help victims recover their pecuniary loss, and had sent 5 000 alert SMS messages to over 4 000 potential victims of scams.

Claiming to offer assistance in handling fraud cases, the account sought to fraudulently obtain the public’s personal information, bank account numbers, passwords, etc.
