Beware of Phishing SMS Messages Purportedly from “yuu”

Recently, phishing SMS messages purporting to be from “yuu” were sent to members of the public randomly, claiming that their customer points were to be expired. The recipients were lured into clicking on the embedded link resembling the official website domain of “yuu”. They were then misled to provide their personal information and credit cards details for redemption of rewards.

“yuu” has issued a clarification notice on its official application, website and Facebook page. Check them out or call its customer service hotline at 2180 9733 for enquiries;
Do not connect to any suspicious websites or download any attachments by clicking on hyperlinks embedded in emails, SMS messages or websites;
Do not input personal information, credit card details, 3-digit security codes or one-time password to unknown applications or websites;
Enter the suspicious URL on “Scameter” for security check in addition to seeking verification from official organizations;
Remind your relatives and friends to stay vigilant against deception;
