Defrauding Tricks

Recently, the Police have received public enquires about scam calls purportedly made by staff of the Department of Health (DH). The caller, speaking in Putonghua, alleged that the recipients had visited high-risk places according to the "LeaveHomeSafe" mobile application.  When the latter denied having visited those places, the scammer claimed that their "LeaveHomeSafe" had been hacked and that’s why the record of visit was displayed. The recipients were then asked to provided their personal information, including bank account details and passwords for investigation.
