Recently, members of the public have received WhatsApp messages requesting them to forward verification codes.

Members of the public should stay alert when using social media. Do not send verification codes to others indiscriminately. Otherwise, your account may be hacked by fraudsters for illegal purposes.

• Members of the public should enable two-step verification to enhance the account security.
• Do not give verification codes to anyone to prevent your account from being hacked.
• If you receive requests from friends and relatives for purchase of point cards or remittance, contact them proactively for verification.
• Remind your relatives and friends to stay vigilant against deception. If in doubt, please call the “Anti-Scam Helpline 18222”.
