Installing the "Scameter+" app
Saving the "Anti-Scam Helpline 18222"
Configuring WhatsApp settings to prevent strangers from adding them to groups
Anti-scam Cantonese opera
In collaboration with the Sing Fai Cantonese Opera Promotion Association Limited and Fung Wong Cantonese Opera Troupe, ADCC has produced a series of anti-scam Cantonese operas. These operas will be screened at elderly homes and health centres across Hong Kong to help seniors learn about scams in an engaging way. The opera trilogy is:
《綺teen 屠無忌》 — Depicts romance-investment scams and reminds the public not to trust investment advice from online contacts to avoid falling victim to “pig-butchering” scams.
《草船借箭》— Uses a classic story to illustrate customer service impersonation scams, advising the public not to disclose personal information or make transfers when receiving suspicious calls or messages.
《再世紅梅記外傳》— Highlights the “Guess Who I Am” scam and urges the public to verify the caller’s identity calmly when asked for money.
《官威迷局》— Portrays impersonation of government officials and teaches seniors how to recognise the “guarantee money” scam.
